MOLDASIG regains its title as a leader in the insurance market and ranks among the top companies according to the data from the National Commission for Financial Market (CNPF) for the period January 1 - June 30, 2022.
The insurance market in the Republic of Moldova saw a positive growth in gross premiums written in the first half of 2022, reaching 1.181 billion lei, which is 1.3 times higher than the same period last year, according to data from the CNPF.
MOLDASIG registered the largest amount of gross premiums written at 221.7 million lei. In the first half of 2022, companies paid over 391.3 million lei in claims and insurance indemnities, marking a 27.0% increase compared to the first half of 2021. Claims paid under general insurance policies totaled 369.6 million lei, accounting for 94.5% of total claims paid, while indemnities paid under life insurance policies amounted to approximately 21.6 million lei, increasing by 29.2%.
