MOLDASIG S.A. proudly holds its position as a leader in the Moldovan insurance market, offering clients a wide range of reliable products and services for over 16 years. With a national network of about 150 sales points and over 30 insurance products in its portfolio, MOLDASIG continues to grow and meet the needs of clients across the country.

Company History

MOLDASIG was founded on December 27, 2002, by three state-owned companies: Banca de Economii, Calea Ferată din Moldova, and Poșta Moldovei, with the goal of supporting the development of the insurance market in Moldova. Within a year, the company became one of the top three insurers in the country, thanks to a dynamic growth strategy.

In 2004, MOLDASIG became a National Insurance Company, building a complex infrastructure at the national level. By the end of that year, the company’s representatives were covering 16 regions, offering insurance services through local representatives.

By 2005, due to continuous growth, MOLDASIG became the market leader in terms of collected insurance premiums, solidifying its market position with a portfolio of over 30 products. Recognition of its quality services came in 2007, when the company was awarded a gold medal at the National "Brand of the Year" competition in the "Leader" category. Since then, MOLDASIG has continued to win annual awards in various categories of this competition.

From 2008 to 2011, MOLDASIG became part of the "Rosgosstrah" group, actively investing in expanding its regional network of offices. In 2012, the majority stake was acquired by five private companies from Moldova, allowing infrastructure modernization and the implementation of a new electronic system for mandatory insurance policies.

In 2013, to celebrate its 10th anniversary, MOLDASIG introduced a new logo and slogan, marking a moment of rebranding and prosperity. In 2014, the company ranked 61st in the TOP100 SEE2014, a ranking of the largest companies in Southeast Europe.

In 2016, MOLDASIG was the official partner of the organizers of Chisinau Marathon 2016, covering injury risks for participants and demonstrating its commitment to the community.
