What to do in case of an incident?
What is insured? *
Claims Procedure - RCA:
There are 2 solutions:
- By calling the Police;
- By amicable settlement (when the damage does not exceed 15,000 lei)
Accident Notification:
- Call the emergency number 112 to report the accident;
- Stay at the accident scene until the police arrive;
- Inform the Insurance Company: Call the specified phone number or send an email to [email protected] within 48 hours of the accident.
Required documents to present:
- Copy of the police report and documents;
- Technical inspection report (valid at the time of the damage);
- Copies of the RCA insurance policy, driver's license, vehicle registration certificate;
- Other documents requested by the Insurer, if applicable.
Injured party:
- Copy of the police report with additional documents to the report;
- Copies of the driver's license, vehicle registration certificate;
- Copy of the identity card;
- Copy of the power of attorney (if applicable).
Claims Procedure - CASCO:
Call the emergency number 112 or other authorities, if applicable, to report the accident.
Stay at the accident scene until the authorities arrive.
Notifying the Insurance Company: Contact Moldasig.SA within the given time frame from the accident via one of the provided phone numbers or by email at info.moldasig.md
Required documents to present:
- Police report or other documents from the authorities;
- Technical inspection report (valid at the date of the accident);
- Copies of the CASCO insurance policy, driver's license, vehicle registration certificate;
- Other documents requested by Moldasig.SA, if applicable.
Legal entities:
(In addition to the documents mentioned above) Also present the travel sheet or registration certificate (Mandate), depending on the situation;
Damage assessment: Present the damaged vehicle to Moldasig.SA for damage evaluation;
If you are at fault for the accident or damage: Present the required documents to Moldasig.SA (after notifying the company at [email protected]);
If you were hit by another driver: Contact the insurance company of the at-fault party and present the required documents.
Exceptions!
The insurer does not provide compensation for certain situations, such as damages caused by: the influence of alcohol or prohibited substances, expired technical inspections.
Claims procedure for medical insurance:
1. Accident medical insurance
To submit a reimbursement request, present the following documents at the medical institution's reception (compensation department located on Petru Rareș St. 77):
- The original medical insurance policy;
- The original identity card or birth certificate;
- Copy of the medical recommendation and results of consultations and investigations for diagnosis, along with receipts or invoices.
Personal presentation at the Moldasig.SA office to submit the required documents (if the individuals are abroad, complete, scan, and send them via email to: [email protected])
2. AFAM
To submit a reimbursement request, present the following documents at the medical institution's reception (compensation department located on Petru Rareș St. 77):
- The original medical insurance policy;
- The original identity card or birth certificate;
- Copy of the medical recommendation and results of consultations and investigations for diagnosis, along with receipts or invoices;
- Other documents requested by the doctor.
Personal presentation at the Moldasig.SA office to submit the required documents.
3. Medical insurance abroad
In the event of an insured risk, the insured person must immediately contact the Insurer's Assistance Office at the phone number indicated in the insurance policy.
The insured person must inform the operator about the situation and provide the details from their insurance policy.
In case of hospitalization or a visit to a doctor, the insured person must present the insurance policy to the medical staff.
To submit a reimbursement request, present the following documents at the institution's reception (Documents must be submitted to the Insurer within 30 calendar days from the date of the insured event or from the date of the insured person's return to the Republic of Moldova) (if abroad, complete, scan, and send via email to: [email protected]), the following documents:
- The original medical insurance policy;
- Identity card, identification documents, and documents confirming border crossings;
- In the case of repatriation or transport of the insured's remains, the necessary certificates and documents must be provided.
Personal presentation at the Moldasig.SA office to submit the required documents (if abroad, complete, scan, and send via email to: [email protected]).
