- Notify the insurer in writing within 72 hours from the moment they become aware of the insured event or actions that may result in the insurer's liability under the insurance contract.
- Take all possible measures to determine the causes and consequences of the insured event.
- Ensure the documentary confirmation of the insured event.
The notification is made by fax, email, or any other method that allows objective confirmation of the notification and must include the following information:
- The time of the insured event, which may lead to claims.
- The quantity and nature of the cargo.
- The nature of the event, which may be the cause for a claim.
- The preliminary size of the damage, full names, and addresses of the persons involved in the insured event, including potential claimants.
- How the insured became aware of the event and why they believe it may lead to claims.
